Shipping and Returns

When will my order be sent ?

Orders placed before 10am are dispatched same day.

Orders placed after 10am are dispatched the next business day.

Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday are dispatched on Monday morning.

You will receive an email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. Occassionaly during peak periods a delay of 1 business day may occur in dispatching your order. 

The following delivery times are average times in which you should receive your order, on most occasions you will receive your order earlier than the times specified. 


Sydney Metro 1 to 3 business days
Regional NSW 3 to 7 business days
Melbourne 1 to 3 business days
Regional VIC, SA and TAS 3 to 7 business days
Brisbane 1 to 3 business days
Regional QLD 3 to 7 business days
Perth / WA 3 to 7 business days
NT 3 to 7 business days

We offer a flat rate of $9.95 for shipping of all orders Australia wide.

Bulky orders outside of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide metropolitan areas or orders to remote areas of Austalia incur a surcharge which is calculated at checkout through a combination of your location and weight of the order. 

We aim to keep our shipping fees as low as possible and use a combination of Austalia Post EParcel and Startrack services. Your order will be sent by the most cost effective method possible with a tracking number.

Please note : you must be home to receive goods. Australia Post will take your order to the nearest Post Office for pick up, if you are not home for Startrack delivery a re-delivery fee may be payable.

Bulky orders cannot be delivered to PO Boxes.

Bulky item examples are pet food, kennels, crates, arge dog beds, arge aquariums.

How do I return an item?

We want you to be 100% happy with the products you buy from us, so we are happy to exchange or refund any products for any reason as long as they are unopened in the original packaging.

We do ask :

  • That you return the products within 60 days of purchase.
  • If the returned item was what you ordered and is not damaged or faulty but you've since changed your mind then we ask that you pay for returning the item to us.
  • If you would like to receive an alternate product, please note that standard shipping charges will apply.
  • Pet food products must be returned prior to their expiry date.
To return a product please go to the My Account tab on our home page, sign in to your account, choose Completed Orders, then choose Return Items, follow the prompts to return an item. It's that easy. 
Once the item is received by our warehouse in original, unopened packaging and in a saleable condition a refund for the value of the returned item only, will be processed within 48 hours. 
Please Note :
  • Refunds will be processed to the payment method you chose at checkout for the purchase amount of the product only, not including shipping costs.
  • We recommend that you return items using a service with a tracking number as you are responsible for the item being received back into our warehouse. No refunds will be provided for items which are lost in transit or received damaged back into our warehouse.
Faulty / Damaged or Incorrect Products : 
If you received products which were damaged, defective or if we shipped the incorrect item we will gladly refund or exchange the product and pay for the return shipping cost as well as shipping the new item back to you !
To return a faulty product, please follow these steps :
1. Take photos showing the fault in the item.
2. Send the photos and a description of the fault by email to customerservice@mypetuniverse.com.au including your order number.
3. Once your photos and description are received, our Customer Service team will review the issue and email you further details.
Don't forget that many products are covered by a 12month manufacturers warranty so if something does go wrong with the item during that time please don't hesitate to contact us.
